“The starting point for the interiors was very much the location. With The Park sitting opposite Hagley Park in such a beautiful and established part of Christchurch, we wanted the interiors to feel connected to that setting, while still having a sense of understated luxury and longevity. We developed two distinct schemes - one light, one dark - both built around texture, tone and natural materials, with timber as the springboard throughout, subtly referencing the trees and landscape of the park. If I were to sum up the philosophy, it would be a refined, timeless interior grounded in its surroundings, designed to have a character of its own while leaving room for the people living there to make it theirs.”
